About Me

Professional Qualifications

M.A. in Counselling
W.M.I.P Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
Certificate CC Relate
Post Grad Certificate in Supervision

I have been a counsellor for 30 years. I have worked for Relate as a couple counsellor, I have worked as a counsellor in the NHS working with stressed Doctors and I now work in my own private practice.

My Relate training means that I am specialised in couple counselling, however I have also undertaken further training in order to also work specifically with individuals.

In 1997 I completed a Masters degree in Counselling at Keele University and in this year I also completed a Certificate in Supervision. In 2000 I started to undertake a six year training in Contempory Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy to increase my theoretical knowledge and skill as a practitioner and enable me to work at a deeper level with my clients.

Personal Approach

I am a British Psychoanalytical Council (BPC) Accredited Psychotherapist. I am also an active member of the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy (WMIP), the region’s leading professional and training organisation for psychoanalytical and Jungian analytical psychotherapies.
